The famous Kesong Puti or the so called Filipino white cheese was celebrated in its Annual 11th Kesong Puti Festival in Sta.Cruz Laguna this April. Kesong Puti or the Philippine white
cheese is a soft, served fresh, similar to cottage cheese, made from un-skimmed carabao's milk, salt and rennet. It has a soft, close texture and slight salty taste. It's is popularly use as a spread for sandwiches and the Philippine National bread, the soft and hot Pandesal.

The Government of Sta Cruz, Laguna organized this festival in order to promote this famous product of Laguna. and also help promote the different small entrepreneurs and cheese makers. There were also lessons in making this specialty white cheese for people who want to get into the industry and for the people who are looking for other means of income with such business.
Also in the festivals were cultural shows and different Laguna specialties and goo-die booths. Grovil also joined as a guest company, as they sold their different Wooden Kitchenware and House ware items. A little Chinese-Filipino War Veterans booth was also in place in the premises to commemorate Philippine's Anual Day of Valor.

The Laguna Kesong Puti Festival is something Lagueno's and Filipino's should look forward too yearly. We hope that this Festival grows to be one of the most celebrated Festivals in the Philippines and become popular to foreign tourist as well. The 11the Laguna kesong puti festival was held from April 1-April 13, 2013 at the Sta. Cruz Laguna Plaza.
